Casual Worker – Psycho-Social Support (PSS) Worker- Ninewa
Task Description
Conduct a variety of structured and unstructured activities (recreational,
psychosocial, and informal skills training) for beneficiaries, which cater to
different psychosocial needs and interests of different beneficiary groups
(adults, adolescents, and children);
Prepare for structured psychosocial support activities by carefully curriculum
guides and preparing all required materials and equipment in advance.
Facilitate the participation of all segments of the target population in the
planned activities to ensure the involvement of the most vulnerable groups.
ensuring that throughout all activities appropriate attention is given to specific
emotional and physical needs.
Monitor beneficiaries' progress during psychosocial support activities and
identify persons with unusual changes in behaviour or other signs of
psychosocial distress for referral to a caseworker or psychologist.
Carry out all tasks respecting key safeguarding principles including but not
limited to: do no harm, non-discrimination, confidentiality, and accountability;
Complete additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Skills Required
Education and professional experience:
University degree in a related field (social work, psychology, etc.);
Two years of relevant work experience.
Strong knowledge of psychosocial programming in the humanitarian context.
Competencies: (knowledge, skills, and abilities)
Computer literacy (Word, Excel)
