PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To ensure the cash and E- voucher project processes of distribution (on site distribution), shop transaction monitoring are implemented according to World Vision standard procedures and providing monitoring and accounting documentation on project processes.
The holder of the position should communicate World Vision’s ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monitoring
  1. Visit distribution sites and ensure the distribution processes meet the expected standard
  2. Generate Distribution Centre Visit reports.
  3. Visit shops and conduct shop and transaction monitoring
  4.  Monitor the beneficiaries purchase process ensuring only approved commodities are being purchased.
  • Accounting and Compliance
  1. Check all beneficiary distribution lists and ensure the figures match with signatures
  2. Ensure the shop transactions by traders to beneficiaries meet project objectives
  3. Assist the Project Control Officer in ensuring the expected standards at distribution sites and shops are met.
  • Coordination and collaboration
  1. To co-ordinate and foster relations with other World Vision Programs in the district so as to ensure proper allocation and sharing of resources.
  2. Participate in regular coordination meetings in WV and outside agencies including the donor.
  • Capacity development
  1. Participate in capacity development of shop traders to conduct transactions as prescribed by the project guidelines
  2. Work with the Project Control Officer to provide training for all other WFP cash and E-voucher staff.
  • Other Roles
  1. Represent WV at district level the NO in food assistance/ Security, coordination forums as advised by project management
  2. Perform any other duties as required by the Project Control Officer or his/her designee
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • A minimum of a diploma.
  • A degree in relevant field is an added advantage.
  • At least 1 years’ previous experience in a related field.
  • Strong communication skills Verbal and written English/Arabic and Kurdish.
  • Computer literacy is an added advantage.
  • Must demonstrate willingness to learn and work with others as a team.
  • Ability to perform field assignments and willingness to travel for long period of time in difficult terrain, harsh and demanding conditions. Candidates should also be willing to live and work in very difficult and security-risk areas.
Work Environment
  • Office environment: typical field based
  • Travel: Domestic travel is required.
  • On call: During normal working hours unless there is an emergency.
