PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To support the EMPACT project in ensuring compliance of processes, systems, and implementation as per donor and World Vision standard. The position ensures the accuracy of all reports including quantitative reports and making use of standard checklists. The position gives assurance that classes of EMPACT project have, processes, reports, are meeting the standards.
The holder of the position should communicate World Vision’s ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Documentation review
  • Review all attendance records ( daily and monthly projects sim card distribution list, plans, etc.) to ensure they match distribution reports
  • Make use of standard checklist to ensure all documentation and backup of project documents is available
  • Review all statistical reports ( CTS, monthly distribution reports to WFP) submitted to the donor, WFP and World Vision DMT, to ensure they are accurate and meet expected requirements.

Compliance
  • Ensure the project is audit-proof through consistently making use of a checklist to ensure adherence to standards
  • Ensure the following systems are compiling and producing accurate reports- tracking process/system, CTS system, distribution processes
  • Share bi-weekly compliance report with field teams
  • Innovate and recommend improved systems processes
  • Ensure close follow-ups of teams that they are implanting the recommendations.

Onsite distribution Monitoring
  • Visit the class sites during the lecture days and work on the report needed. And ensure the classes comply with the WV standards.
  • Supervise monitoring accounting staff to ensure that onsite distribution is taking place as per standards
  • Supervise Monitoring & accounting to ensure shop truncation monitoring is effective and efficient.

Capacity development
  • Train project staff, working with project management to ensure issues of compliance are addressed.

Other Roles
  • Represent the NO in compliance/ self-review teams panel of discussion with other WV offices
  • Perform any other duties as required by Project Management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • The holder of this position must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Statistics or any other related course from a recognized University.
  • Previous experience in a related field.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Conversant in English.
  • Must have strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Requires the ability to effectively present concepts to lay users in various settings and by various means (verbal and written).
  • Requires strong communication skills to interact with all levels of staff and management.
  • Must be able to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • It requires the ability to work under pressure and on multiple tasks.
  • Must have a service orientation.

Work Environment
Complete Travel and/or Work Environment statements if applicable.
  • Office environment: typical field based
  • Travel: Domestic travel is required.
  • On-call: During normal working hours unless there is an emergency.
