PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The main role of the community mobilizers is to conduct community based awareness on the protection and Gender based violence concerns , oversee the work of the child protection committees and parents support groups and as well as provision of the capacity building support to children and adults as deemed.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct mass Community Outreach Awareness campaigns in all Project location

Ensure to plan all the community based outreach awareness campaigns in all targeted project sites.

Asses and identified most common gender base violence and protection issues in the targeted communities and use that as basis for the planning different awareness campaigns themes.

Ensure proper IEC materials and messages are developed, shared for approval and endorsement, and lastly used for mass awareness campaigns in all project sites.

Ensure relevant target groups are identified and informed of the planned events/sessions in advance.

Ensure all the awareness messages are risk-assessed, appropriateness in language and translation and relevant to the targeted communities.

Resolve all challenges related to awareness interventions using community based approaches.

Prepare activities reports on regular basis and share it with management for reviews and inputs.

Formation and operationalization of the Community based Child Protection Committees and parents support groups in all the project target zones
-
Established four Child Protection committees in Kirkuk using the pre-determined selection criteria.

Conduct series for the Child Protection, child rights, referrals and community mobilization trainings for the child protection committees in all the project sites.

Conduct monthly and ad hoc meeting for the Child Protection committees
-
Established parents support groups in the targeted communities and provided continuous support and monitoring

Empower adolescent skills for conflict affected IDP Girls in Kirkuk.

Conduct a series of life-skills training sessions for the 200 IDP adolescent girls in 4 project sites in Kirkuk.

Conduct follow-up and monitoring sessions with adolescent girls who participated in life-skills training.
-
Conduct impact monitoring of the life-skills session by using impact monitoring tools provided for the program.

Reporting and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)

Prepare weekly and monthly reports to share with Project Coordinator

Keep record of weekly minutes of meeting
Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:
-
Bachelor Degree in Sociology, social science and Education in emergency is needed for this position.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in education including the ability to conceptualize, develop, plan and manage NFE programs that include curricula and materials design, teacher mobilization and training, monitoring
-
Previous working experience in Child protection is mandatory requirement. Strong Management and team leaders is necessary.

Fluent in both English and Arabic (speaking and writing).

Computer literate mainly in Microsoft Office package.

Work experience with humanitarian agencies.
