Position Summary:

This Warehouse Supervisor is a field-based role it will report to the Logistic and Warehouse Manager/Head of Contract and Procurement. The purpose of this role is to supervise the warehouse logistics and access control to logistic transport companies.

Key Accountabilities:

Operate within and promote Genel Energy core values and warehouse standards.
The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities. Implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits.
Key tasks will include but not limited to:
Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods,
Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities,
Organize and maintain inventory and storage area,
Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy,
Communicate job expectations and coach employee(s),
Determine staffing levels and assign workload,
Interface with contractors to answer questions or solve problems,
Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status,
Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices,
Confer and coordinate activities with other departments

Skills and Experience:

Minimum 5-year experience in warehouse roles for international oil and gas companies,
University Graduate,
Fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking) and Kurdish,
Having training courses and/or certificates in warehouse and logistics is highly preferred,
Having forklift certificate is preferred
Rigging and lifting certificate and/or experience is preferred,
Excellent knowledge of site HSE,
Working knowledge of Microsoft office Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.,
Good problem-solving ability and a pragmatic flexible approach,
Self-starter who is able to work in remote location with minimum corporate support,
Flexible to greenfield operations,
Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques,
Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data,
Hands-on commitment to getting the job done,
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations,
Strong organisational and time management skills.

Internal & External Interaction:

The position is expected to work closely with the contractors in the field.
Interact with the warehouse assistant/ logistic and warehouse manager/ head of contracts and procurement and other departments as needed.
