ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for an innovative business professional to join us as our Trainer and Business Advisor in Sulaimani. If you have an MBA, have worked with a startup or business, or have business training experience, you are right for the role! A successful candidate should have experience in the private sector, business consulting, and/or entrepreneurship, fluency in English, Kurdish and Arabic, and the ability to deliver trainings and advisory sessions on business concepts.
This is a critical role for the success of our team, organization, and, most particularly, our entrepreneurs. We are searching for someone that is interested in learning, growing, and becoming a valued long-term contributor to the organization.
The successful candidate will support Five One Labs to:

Support the training team in running outreach and training sessions;

Conduct innovative trainings and consulting on design thinking, business, and entrepreneurship in both English, Kurdish and Arabic;

Support the development of new trainings, sessions, and webinars;

Assist in the marketing outreach for Five One Labs programs;

Provide one-on-one business advisory services to entrepreneurs in Five One programming;

Together with Five One leadership, develop M&E processes, records, and program reports to ensure sustainability and improvement of the Five One Labs incubator program over time;

Other tasks as required by our growing organization.
Five One Labs will ensure that the selected candidate has access to all relevant materials and support to succeed in his or her role.
The Five One Labs team is seeking candidates with the following profile:
Skills and Knowledge
-
Graduate degree in business preferred; bachelor’s degree plus previous experience in entrepreneurship or business consulting may substitute;

5+ years work experience in related fields, with an emphasis placed on prior training, teaching, or business consulting experience;

Deep familiarity with the following topics, particularly how they relate to startups: business fundamentals, including basic strategy, operations, financial modeling, market sizing and management; innovation; and leadership;

Previous experience in coaching or mentoring individuals or small teams;

Fluent in English, Kurdish and Arabic.

The position will be based in Sulaimani, Iraq but may require travel to other cities across Iraq as needed to run programs and events.
