JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the direct supervision of the Site Engineer in Duhok the technical assistant plans, controls and monitors the actual execution of all civil related works of the project, to ensure that the project will be done in accordance with all the approved construction drawings, contract documents, specifications and all applicable standards.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists the site engineer in preparing proposals (drawings and Bill of Quantity BOQ) for engineering projects.

Participates in implementations of all civil works at site.

Participating in regular meetings related to his/her work (When required).

Estimates, prepares and assigns the resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc., required for all civil works prior to execution.

Interprets construction drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs.

Assign targets for accomplishments and ensure targets are met on daily basis.

Submits site reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis or as required to site engineer.

Submits required daily and weekly reports to Site engineer.

Ensures and monitor that all site works are done according to all applicable quality standards.

Performs other related duties as may be required direct supervisor
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS):

University degree in civil engineering .

Two year related experience with NGO is necessary.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.

Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Good level of computer literacy

Fluency in English and Kurdish.
