Key Objectives or tasks 
 
1.
  • Receive training on mhGAP, IPTG, PM+ / PSS & PFA. 
  • Provide non-specialized services to community through Households intervention (Door to Door visit), Mobilise the Community on a routine basis for MHPSS awareness campaigns.
  • Develop with project staff the Life Skills and Recreational activities in the static and mobile MHPSS center.
  • Supervise the Community Mobilizers staff. 
2.
  • Conduct community awareness sessions on MHPSS on a weekly basis to educate and address the specific MHPSS needs of population. Distribute Information, Education and Communications (IEC) through the community outreach sessions on MHPSS. 
  • Conducting follow-up visits with beneficiaries and referring those in need of non-specialized and specialized services to the static clinic based on their needs.
  • Ensure that ethical and sound data collection and information management systems are in place for all cases identified and referred. 
  • Maintain a collaborative relationship with all organizations working in the local context to facilitate referrals and joint activities, while upholding WVI standard in MHPSS programming. 
  • Deliver capacity-building activities on PSS, and Psychosocial first aid to Community Mobilizers, Case identification and referring mechanisms, Inform and sensitize parents of child-referred cases on the necessary type of support and role they need to play to help their child overcome the situation they are in.

  • Carry out MHPSS awareness activities in line with relevant standards, codes of conduct, and humanitarian principles, Encourage the participation of community members throughout the programme, communication activities such as community meetings, drama, information campaigns, use of educational materials etc. Must comply with proper safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Conduct sessions on PM+, PSS, PFA, and parenting skills to community members.

4.
  • Develop a communication and implement a communication strategy aimed at sharing information on MHPSS services.
  • Develop a reporting system and maintain a data base of reports and beneficiaries reached out through house to house interventions

5.
  • Trained and experienced casuals, Some prior knowledge of MHPSS, health, hygiene, teaching, or community development,
  • Strong communication skills, High Supervision skills, Good listening skills, Sensitivity to the needs and priorities of different sectors of the community. 
  • University degree in Psychology or Social Work
  • Previous working experience in MHPSS, Child protection is mandatory requirement. Strong Management and team leading skills is necessary. 
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic (speaking and writing). 
  • Computer literate mainly in Microsoft Office package. 
  • Excellent communication skills with children of different age groups and adults (staff and community members).
  • Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity.
  • Ability to work in difficult and high risk situations.
  • Ability to cope and work under pressure.
  • Well-organized, self-motivated and ability to work in a team.
  • Familiar with Humanitarian Principles and standards.
  • Full adherence to World Vision Child Protection, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies.
