MosulSpace is an innovation hub that is involved in education, innovation entrepreneurship and technology sectors. MosulSpace mission is to improve the private sector and youth skills through training programs, co-working spaces and makerspace where innovators can create and build their prototypes. We aim to promote the idea of entrepreneurship and technology in the community and support the start-ups to take the private sector to another level as well as strengthen the social cohesion through our social activities.
Mosul Space is leading the development of the innovation eco-system in Mosul, establishing the city’s first purpose-built co-working and makerspace, supported by the international NGOs, Field Ready as a partner and GIZ as a donor.
We are looking for a driven Social Media Specialist to attract and interact with targeted communities and networks users.
What does a Social Media Specialist do?
The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and engage more people in our programs to be aware of Mosul Space work and start talking about these new concepts we are trying to promote.
Social media specialists should have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels. You are responsible for joining relevant conversations on behalf of the brand.
Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
optimize Mosul Space pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
Collaborate with other departments (Makerspace, Community.. etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions.
Managing Mosul Space website, develop Arabic and English Content for it and update website content weekly.
Develop weekly report for all social media channels and website.
Create video and photo content using tools in Mosul Space.
Cover all activities and events inside and outside Mosul Space.
Maintain community response over all social media channels.
Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist.
Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills.
Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
Adequate knowledge of web design, Wordpress, CRO and SEO.
Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels.
Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability.
Experiences in managing and developing social media campaigns.
Fluency in English and Arabic.
BS degree in relevant field.
