Role and Responsibilities

Configure and manage Microsoft Active Directory environments to ensure the smooth and reliable operation in order to meet business objectives and processes.

Support Office's e-mail infrastructure.

Install and administer server based production systems as it applies to internal projects.

Review of server infrastructure, including taking proactive measures to ensure continued stability and assist in the development and/or revision of server based standards, guidelines and policies as determined by internal stake holders.

Maintain reliable vendor management with outside support organizations in the maintenance, service and purchase of LAN Technology equipment and accessories.

Monitor critical servers (like Exchange, Domain Controllers, DNS), to check if they are functioning properly, check disk usage, check critical alerts

Configure Exchange Mailboxes for e.g.: - Move to a higher quota, give rights to mailboxes

Provide support to Helpdesk & Staff with related to servers / applications related to servers

Installation of Windows on Physical Servers as need be

Periodically update windows patches & harden the windows servers as per the schedule

Proactively take ownership & resolve technical issues to closure
-
Implement Disaster recovery solution by implementing Double Take solution for physical servers & test the plan to meet the objectives.
Qualifications and Education Requirements

High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 8 years related experience in MS Windows Exchange 2010/2013 server configuration, or Microsoft Server 2008/2012.

Microsoft Certified System Engineer 2008/2012 or MS Windows Server 2008/2012 Certification.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

SQL database experience preferred.
VMware/NetApp SAN Storage experience in a business environment preferred.
Preferred Skills
-
Knowledge of virtualization and server consolidation using VMware Virtual Infrastructure and associated tools.

Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012. Active Directory 2003 & 2008, Exchange 2003, 2010, ISA / TMG

Windows Clustering & Load Balancing

Knowledge of PowerShell scripting technologies.

In-depth knowledge of Windows 2008/2012 server.

Strong understanding/experience with archiving and journaling.

Ability to configure and manage Filer Aggregates, Volumes, LUN, and CIF shares.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
Demonstrated strength in statistical/analytical tools for system monitoring.

Knowledge back-up solutions a plus.
