MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Generally responsible for following up for all implementations of all civil works at site.

Plans and analyses all possible construction methodologies and recommends the best options to the Head of field office/Technical Manager for approval prior to execution at site.

Prepares technical documentation and review (lay out, bill of quantities (BoQ) with estimation of costs, technical description, design and specific drawings, participate in the evaluation of costs, technical description , design and specific drawings, participate in the evaluation of bids process) for specific projects.

Prepares control and inspection plans in conjunction with the people involved to insure the best quality if implementation following the live cycles of projects.

Monitors the on-activities related to buildings and the civil engineering infrastructure so as to ensure health and safety, quality and conformance with approved construction documentation.

Interprets construction drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs.

Manages directly and provide engineering and technical supports

Assign targets for accomplishments and ensure targets are met on daily basis
-
Supports the Head of field office/Technical Manager in accomplishing all the goals and targets
-
Ensures that all the work done is in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards.

Ensures that all site works are done according to all applicable quality standards.

Coordination with partners & local authorities about projects

Conducting proposals for the projects.

Supervise, follow, support & monitor site engineer & technical assistants.
-
Estimates, prepares and assigns the resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc., required for all civil works prior to execution.

Assign targets for accomplishments and ensure targets are met on daily basis

Submits site reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis or as required.

Supports the Project Manager in accomplishing all the goals and targets
-
Ensures that all the works done are in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards.

Ensures that all site works are done according to all applicable quality standards.

Directly responsible for the safety of all personnel of the project by ensuring that the project execution will be done according to all applicable health, safety, sanitary and environmental standards.

Performs other related duties as may be required direct supervisor.

Periodical Reports to be organized by Microsoft Program Software.

Performs other related duties as may be required the head of field office.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS):

University degree in civil engineering.

Two year related experience with NGO is necessary.
-
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
-
Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.

Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
-
Good level of computer literacy

Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, drive for results

Fluency in English and Kurdish.
