We are looking for a reliable, detail-orientated Electrical Engineer who will be reviewing all engineering design plans,  performing complex calculations, designing, and constructing electrical systems and their components, liaising with other engineers, and maintaining relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders. You should be able to stick to the allocated budget and build reliable, quality electrical systems. To do well in this role you should be a  licensed professional engineer and have extensive experience as an electrical engineer 
To be successful you must have excellent organizational skills, be able to researches, plans, designs, develops, analyzes, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including displays, sensors, processors, interface units, and other electronic devices; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment to develop or improve products and facilitate all construction and other office and onsite operations. 
To be successful as an Electrical Project Engineer, you should possess an analytical mind and a high aptitude for physics and math. Outstanding candidates are superb problem solvers with a passion for their job. 
 
Responsibilities 
  • Analyzing technical drawings, interpreting specifications, and determining the electrical requirements of a  given project. 
  • Liaising with other engineers and clients to ensure overall customer satisfaction. 
  • Managing and monitoring all assigned electrical projects. 
  • Ensuring health and safety codes are obeyed at all times. 
  • Completing quality assurance on all electrical components and projects and writing up reports. − Analyzing and approving various construction and engineering plans. 
  • Diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment. 
  • Ensuring all deadlines and budgetary requirements are met. 
  • Keeping abreast of the latest developments in electrical engineering. 
  • Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment  products, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes. 
  • Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software  and equipment. 
  • Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or  projects. 
  • Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing  electrical systems specifications, technical drawings or topographical maps. 
  • Establishing construction, manufacturing or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range  of detailed calculations. 
  • Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating  installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support or testing activities. − Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies. − Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials. 
  • Supervising or training project team members. 
  • Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation. 
  • Maintaining electrical equipment. 
  • Working with a variety of technicians. 
  • Developing, reviewing, updating, modifying, and approving electrical design plans and work schedules. 
  • Liaising with clients and other engineers to ensure projects are completed to specifications. 
  • Establishing relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, other professionals, and expanding networks. 
  • Maintaining and improving existing engineering processes. 
  • Participating in conferences, events, and networking and learning opportunities.
  • Drawing up budgets, schedules, company regulations, and various other documents. 
  • Analyzing existing processes and scheduling meetings to discuss improvement initiatives. 
  • Conducting research, performing diagnostics, and troubleshooting equipment. 
  • Assisting with recruitment, training, and onboarding. 
  • Ensuring a safe, positive work environment. 
  • Assists in the development, review and approval of construction plans, including goals and objectives, work  breakdown structure, detailed scope descriptions, detailed schedules, risk management approach, milestone  descriptions, budgets and staffing requirements. 
  • Provides technical support to marketing for bids and proposals. 
  • Manages, expedites, and supports consultants’ and construction document submittals, budgets, and  schedules. 
  • Maintains and fosters contacts with consultants, contractors, vendors, and material suppliers. − Assists with the development of new Engineering standards and maintains and improves existing standards  and guidelines, implementing industry and company best practices. 
  • Acts as a subject matter expert regarding some electrical engineering activities. 
  • Interacts closely with internal teams to ensure that project needs, and objectives are met. 
  • Prepares engineering scope documents, exhibits, budgets, specifications, schedules, and Requests for  Proposals (RFPs). 
  • Leads or participates in project meetings and conference calls. 
  • Produces quality engineering plans, studies, and specifications while ensuring compliance with department,  project, company, utility, regional electrical entity, and industry requirements and standards. − Participates in engineering, design, and construction review processes. 
  • Leads and conducts value-engineering studies of alternative design approaches. 
  • Interprets plans, specifications, drawings, and documents related to engineering and construction. 
  • Leads or assists with investigations of electrical-related issues, including root cause analysis as needed. 
  • Additional duties as required. 
  • Travel is necessary to visit sites and staying on the project for a designated duration. 
  • Working hours are typically standard office hours, but strict deadlines mean longer hours, weekends and being  on-call are all possible and expected. 
 
Skills and Requirements 
  • Electrical engineering degree. Master's degree preferable.  
  • Licensed as a professional engineer. Additional license or certification may be required.  − Proven experience of minimum 15 years as a senior electrical engineer.  
  • Proven experience in camp construction projects or residential complexes (200 men and more).  − Experience in using or a desire to learn required software.  
  • Knowledge of applicable codes related to electronic engineering.  
  • Proficient in design and calculation software.  
  • Extensive practical experience.  
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.  
  • Practical experience with CAD software.  
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.  
  • Excellent motivational skills and multitasking abilities.  
  • Self-starter and outgoing personality traits and demonstrated leadership skills.  
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized while doing so.  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.  
  • Proficient in Primavera.  
  • Fluent in English.
