Background:
QANDIL is a Swedish non-profit, non-political, non-religious humanitarian aid organization that was founded in 1991 in Stockholm, Sweden. Which is been registered and licensed under the number of (675-F) in Kurdistan region of Iraq. QANDIL provides humanitarian aids to Internally Displaced Persons, Refugees, and host communities in Iraq through health & hygiene, education, emergency response and protection projects.
 
Summary:
Under supervision of the Information Management Officer, the Data Officer will support with management of program data processes, such as beneficiary identification, verification, and monitoring. The Data Officer is a key technical role overseeing appropriate data entry, storage, processing and analysis, as well as application of technology to maximize efficiency of data collection and The Data Officer will work closely with the Information Management Officer (including both office and field based staff).
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities.
  • Managing the database for all the projects needs and requirements.
  • Updating RAIS database on daily basis. 
  • Preparing reports and regular and ad-hoc basis.
  • Participating in distribution process to update the status of all the received cases. 
  • Maintaining data quality of all databases. 
  • Responsible sending/receiving referral internally and externally from different resources and providing feedback up on request
  •  Processes beneficiary and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution.
  •  Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
  • Secures information by completing data base backups.
  •  Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
  •  Keeping information with confidentiality.
  • Ability to assume multiple project responsibilities in a focused and dedicated manner.
  •  Any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in information technology or statistics;
  • Minimum 3 year experience in data processing and analyzing with NGOs;
  • Fluency in Kurdish, Arabic and English languages;
  • Familiar with using Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and Access;
  • Willingness and ability to enforce compliance with QANDIL and donor policies and procedures is essential;
  • High level of personal integrity, honesty and transparency in all activities is essential;
  • Demonstrated ability to work quickly, accurately, meet deadlines, and process information in support of changing program activities is necessary.
