Position Summary:

This role is based in Sulaymaniyah, it will report to the Security Coordinator and Security Manager and supervised by KRI Security Coordinator. The purpose of this role is to assist and accompany the security coordinator with all security requirement/activities/inspections.

Key Accountabilities:

Operating with Genel Energy’s security standards.
Mainly work in Sulaymaniyah office and supportive to all Genel operational sites in KRI, Assist and accompany the security coordinator with all security requirement/activities/inspections prepared and required by Genel Energy KRI Security Coordinator.

Key tasks will include:

Interface and liaise all security issues with Asaish, Police, OPF and local community’s representatives (Mukhtar, Anjuman),
Monitor all Genel Energy’s security implementations and make sure they are implemented by subcontractor/OPF,
Inspect the all physical security structures of the sites according to the Genel Energy’s standard’s and make sure all are good shape and coordinate the maintenance if needed,
Coordinate and supervise all security movements in KRI in the supervision of Genel Energy KRI Security Coordinator and report to Security Manager,
Provide Emergency support & Crisis management and drills. In the event of the serious and immediate security threat to Genel Energy employees and assets, report to Security Management and apply decision,
Follow all local and international media, report and advise to Genel Energy KRI Security Coordinator,
Daily check all posts and facilities on site,
Assist/Coordinate with developing and conducting security training for site guard force and other security services,
Maintain discipline, command, and control of all security staff in all sites,
Be part of the Genel Energy and be cooperative with all other departments,
Translate and prepare all security texts that Genel Energy security department requires,
Increase and develop good relationship with all local residences around the operational sites.

Skills and Experience:

Good understanding of local tribes and tribal structure, ability to interact with foreign nationals, sensitive to local customs and cultures and ability to deal with the public in a patient and personable manner,
Excellent knowledge about the local Security rules and regulations.
Good working knowledge and understanding of planning, implementing security standards for Oil and Gas projects,
Excellent conflict resolution skills / excellent verbal communication skills,
Advance computer skills required. Well knowledge in MS Office,
No previous criminal record,
Smart appearance and good bearing and physically fit,
Must be able to pass a medical examination (sight, hearing, blood test),
Fluent in English & Kurdish (Read, Write and Spoken),
Valid driver’s license for passenger vehicles,
Proficient in firearms (handgun/assault rifle), communication & navigation systems.
Good understanding of local tribes and tribal structure, ability to interact with foreign nationals, sensitive to local customs and cultures and ability to deal with the public in a patient and personable manner,
5 years of experience in similar field is required.
