MSF Switzerland is looking for a PMR Support to support the Hospital director through delegated tasks and responsibilities including administrative tasks related to the coordination of work, ensuring good relationships with local and national authorities and ensuring adequate program management in the project according to MSF protocols, (para)medical standards, rules of hygiene and the standard precautions in order to ensure the delivery of quality medical care for patients and their communities as well as to improve the health conditions of the targeted population
 
Main tasks of the role:  
  • Assisting the Project Medical Referent / Hospital Director in the implementation of MSF protocols, (para) medical standards, the rules of hygiene and universal precautions in service
  • Assisting in the collection of information on national health policy (meetings, reports, articles, etc.), collecting and participating in the analysis of epidemiological data (meetings, reports, articles, etc.) from the project
  • Participating in briefings and debriefings of the (para) medical team members national staff and expats and promoting communication and active participation in the development of the project
  • Participating in the data collection and management from the projects as well as preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports and organizing data archiving and medical reports in the project
  • Performing other duties at the request of Hospital Director/ PMR (exceptional strengthening of a field team, involvement in evaluations, etc.)
  • Assisting the Hospital Director /Project Medical Referent for the networking with both Local and International actors for the whole Ninewah Governorate
  • Participate at the medical meeting of the project
  • Follow the COVID 19 situation update in Mosul and report it to the Hospital Director (HD)
  • Follow the COVID 19 response both locally and centrally and update the Hospital Director (HD) with the necessary information as needed
  • Support the Emergency Room as needed in case there is a medical gap there
  • Participate in the planning of the medical activities with the support of the Hospital Director (HD)
  • Communicate with the health authorities and different public figures to ease our referrals system and to enrich our relationship with the health authorities
  • Communicate with different health authorities to collect different medical guidelines and protocols that are used inside the health facilities
  • Attend meeting (Health clusters) in case needed with the medical referent. 
  • Communicate with other actors in case needed
  • Do an assessment of health activities in Mosul (Hospitals and actors) and update it regularly
  • Support the pharmacy with organizing the donation of the medications to different public health facilities
Requirements:
  • Essential Medical Doctor Diploma
  • Training or experience in tropical medicine and/or public health
  • Experience working with MSF or other NGO’s
  • Emergency Experience
  • Desirable 2 years of previous working experience 
  • At least 1-year experience Mandatory as “internship“ with DoH 
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic. Control of local languages 
  • Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet)
  • For applicants with foreign certificates, Iraqi recognised state-diploma is required.
  • For applicants registered under DOH Ninewa, a non-objection letter should be provided only if the staff is selected.
