Purpose of position:
The Health Coordinator main role is to supervise the Medical Team (Medical officers, Nurses, Midwives, Pharmacist, and Dispenser) for both the mobile and static clinics to implement and coordinate health and nutrition programs including: planning, documentation, monitoring, evaluation, research, and training.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, set up and supervise health teams for mobile and static clinics

Build links between the WV health programs and DOH and MoH centers in areas of operation

Ensure coordination with other programs to maximize integration

Plan and coordinate health assessments of existing and new project areas in conjunction with DoH and DM&E department.

Compile weekly and monthly progress and provide technical reports from the clinics for the Health Manager

Establish and maintain World Vision and other best practice standards for health programs.

Monitor and assist in evaluating health and nutrition program.

To assess, design and implement appropriate training programs to equip and upgrade knowledge and skills of health staff.
Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:

Education/Credentials: Medical degree, nursing degree with midwifery and/or Masters of Public Health.

Experience: 3-5 years health care program management.

Previous experience of NGO work.

Experience working with IDPs and conflict-affected persons.

Native Kurdish, Excellent English and Arabic communication skills (oral and written).

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

Strong capacity building and facilitation skills

Ability to travel to project areas for assessment, regular monitoring and evaluation

Ability to manage work life and work without supervision

Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment.

Understanding of interagency standards such as MISP, Mental Health Guidelines, Gender guidelines etc.

Knowledge of and adherence to the Red Cross and NGO Code of Conduct.
