Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Designs work plan and manages implementation of the psycho-social support for the returnees.
  • Ensures project targets are met according to work plan deadlines, and that the project is adequately resourced to carry out effective programming. Oversees project correction with other senior staff as needed.
  • Identify returnees and assess in which areas they are staying to include them under the project services.
  • Conducts assessment to identify the critical requirements for program interventions with focus on the returnees, IDPs and host community members.
  • Leads the development of strategy for psycho-social and livelihoods activities, with emphasis on response to perceived needs indicated by beneficiaries.
  • Review existing programming and make recommendations for areas of expansion.
  • Coordinate with the CMO staff to ensure that all program activities adhere to the organization code of conduct and international standards.
  • Provides capacity-building for national staff: technical support, organizing training, and preparing training manual and schedule for livelihoods staff.
  • Take lead in the development of project indicators and relevant monitoring and evaluation instruments and provide real time technical advice to project staff through direct field visits.
  • Establish the field offices in Erbil, Baghdad and Basra as per the project need and returnees location.
  • Undertake frequent field visits to project sites to ensure that the activities are carried out in accordance to work plan and technical requirements.
  • Focal point for technical proposal writing for psycho-social and livelihoods programs.
  • Submits monthly and quarterly reports by collection of information and data from the field, data analysis, and report documentation;
  • Liaison with various stakeholders and leading psycho-social and livelihoods organizations in all project locations, and take lead role in providing information regarding returnee’s trends in Iraq.
     
Required Qualification & Skills;
  • Bachelor Degree or MBA in Project Management;
  • At least five years’ experience in the same position or field;
  • Fluency in Kurdish, Arabic & English languages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds;
  • Ability to handle confidential matters, meet deadlines and work under pressure;
  • Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, and drive for results
