The Iraq Community Resilience Initiative (ICRI), an International Development project, seeks candidates for Program Development Officers (PDO) based in Erbil, Iraq. The project aims to promote recovery in conflict-affected areas, with a focus on minority communities, in Ninewa Province. The Program Development Officer (PDO) plays a central role in in identifying potential partners and developing activities in support of ICRI’s program goal and objectives
•Identify potential partners through networking and outreach, and work with them to design and develop grant concepts and activities
•Prepare, present, analyze, and evaluate grant concepts, applications, and grant agreement/award documents to ensure consistency with program priorities, goals, and objectives.
•Consult with other GMU members in the development of activities to ensure sound design, based on lessons learned and that are aligned with programmatic objectives.
•Actively engage with the research and analysis being developed in order to develop evidence-based program activities.
•Demonstrated analytical ability and understanding of local and regional political context of Northern Iraq and Ninewa Province strongly preferred.
•Strong strategic thinking/planning capabilities, with demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and propose strategic and appropriate interventions required.
•Proven ability to work proactively and independently to achieve results
•Strong communication skills required
•Experience communicating and coordinating with diverse stakeholders at different levels strongly preferred.
•Working proficiency in written and spoken English required. Kurdish, Arabic, and/or another local language is preferred
