Background

Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is a Korean government agency responsible for grant aid to support poverty eradication and socio-economic development in developing countries, enhancing international development cooperation as well as strengthening partnerships with developing countries.
KOICA Erbil, Iraq Office plays a crucial role in establishing KOICA’s field-oriented aid programs. In particular, the office makes a great effort to maximize the effectiveness of aid programs by discussing policies and researching demand with local governments.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implement principles and best practices into coordinating especially training programs and monitor their effectiveness and relevancy;
  • Act as a liaison between the KRG counterparts for implementation of KOICA programs
  • Prepare summary reports of the meetings and discussions held with the KRG counterparts or other stakeholders
  • Prepare weekly/monthly news reports related to KRG and international donor agencies’ activities in the region
  • Provide translation/interpretation services
  • Assist with promoting the marketing and publishing of the ODA activities by KOICA in KRI, Iraq
  • Perform any other related responsibilities and duties assigned by the Head of Office

Requirements
  • At least 1- 2 years of relevant work experience - Experience with instruction or training, and administration
  • Experience at the international level is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of competency assessment
  • Professional knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a must
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly written
  • English and Kurdish fluency is a must; Arabic is a plus.
