The Plant Buyer will work with the Finance and Corporate Procurement to assist with the integration of processes across the plant. Main focus will be to:

  • Manage spend categories across all the departments through approved sources of supply assuring that the criteria of competitive pricing, on-time delivery and technical specifications compliance are met 
  • Support the Corporate Procurement  to review and standardize the sourcing strategies and achieve targets related to Process, Saving, Spend visibility

§ Policies and Procedure
§ To contribute to the implementation of the Procurement policies and procedures in order to ensure that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled while delivering a high quality and cost-effective service
§ Compliance with procedural and requirements
§ Purchase Procedure
§ Ensure that the purchase policy is well followed and that Purchase Orders are released only upon receipt of an approved Purchase Requisition
§ Compliance with Purchase Procedure and Delegation of Authority
§ Stakeholder  Relationship Management
§ Develop and maintain the relationship with the internal stakeholder through Procure to Pay (P2P) awareness and compliance with SLAs
§ Stakeholders survey satisfaction
§ Supplier Relationship Management
§ Ensure that all active suppliers are registered and categorised as per P2P
§ Develop and manage alternative supplier in order to minimise the risk of monopoly 
§ Effective development and management of relationships and partnerships
§ Contract
§ Whenever required by the P2P, ensure that a Contract is in place using the Company standards templates
§ Verify important contract documentation, where necessary, to ensure clarity of scope, requirements, project deliverables and timings in line with business objectives.
§ Ensure early involvement of Procurement during the requirement definition in order to maximise the commercial/contractual negotiation
§ Negotiate with selected supplier on contract price with a view to obtain the highest discount and fixed prices for products or services to perform the required scope.
