The Iraq Community Resilience Initiative – Ta’afi (ICRI-Ta’afi) is a United States Agency for International Development Office of Transition Initiatives (USAID/OTI) program implemented by Chemonics International in Iraq. ICRI-Ta’afi aims to increase stability in Iraq by supporting accelerated recovery in conflict-affected areas, improvement of the public’s perception of local leadership, and strengthened social fabric of Iraqi communities. 
Reporting:
The Procurement Associates will report to the Procurement Manager/Program Manager.
Work Location and Number of Vacancies:
The positions are based in Erbil. (3) vacancy.
Responsibilities:
  • Checks project inventory and track all project items
  • Assists the procurement team during the procurement process
  • Prepares Payment Requests, Purchase Orders, PAR forms, RFQs and BPAs when needed
  • Prepares Loan Agreements for staff working in Iraq
  • Creates and manages procurement files
  • Assists staff in addressing any procurement questions or issues in collaboration with the operations and procurement staff
  • Stays well informed regarding all Chemonics policies and procedures related to procurement
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • One to three years of experience in logistics and inventory or similar fields for donor-funded projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work with culturally and geographically diverse staff
  • Ability to work in a professional and cordial manner with fellow staff members, visitors, and partner institutions, including international and local NGOs, governmental entities, support organizations, and the general public
  • Must be capable of lifting and moving items with a weight of 20 Kilograms
  • Working proficiency in basic office computer applications including MS Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • Fluency in written and oral Arabic and English is required; written and oral fluency in Kurdish, and other local languages is a plus, but not required

Additional Information
Contract period: Until 31 January 2022 without extension
Salary: The salary of this position falls under band FSN-06
The selected candidates will be vetted.
