This position is responsible for providing internal and external strategic communications support for Toyota & Hino brand in Iraq. This position will work with marketing team at Toyota Iraq, as well as a cross-functional communications group, to develop, maintain and support integrated marketing communications plans that advance Toyota Iraq business objectives.
The candidate will oversee communications activities related to future marketing events, campaigns and other related issues.
The candidate must have a social media first bias to internal and external communications, while also being able to deliver traditional communications including internal news articles, leadership messages, speeches, news releases, and prepping subject matter experts for media engagements such as media kit. He or she also will be responsible for working closely with media organizations and the Iraqi government to provide media and presentation materials for external release as well as preparing responses to external media requests such as media inquiries and public presentations.
This position requires strong writing in Arabic, editing, translation, project management, media relations and executive support skills as well as some social media expertise. Ability to develop and grow effective working relationships with business partners within the company and customer media representatives is essential, as is the ability to provide strategic communication counsel.
Toyota Iraq is owned by Japanese Sumitomo Corporation and a local partner, the company is the exclusive & official distributor of Toyota & Hino brands in Iraq. The company has more than 100 employees located in Baghdad, Basra & Erbil.
