The outreach team leader manage community centers and a group of volunteer to conduct wide ranging
outreach and CWC activities and report to UNHCR on trends, and refer cases in need to UNHCR and other
service providers.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Establish a connection with communities and mobilize community members to engage in community-based
  • protection.
  • Coordinate closely with local authorities, formal and informal, as well as refugee/IDP community focal
  • points in each area, establishing and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Identify and train suitable OVs.
  • Manage OVs in a given area.
  • Organize and facilitate trainings for OVs on Community-Based Protection, UNHCR’s Code of Conduct,
  • Specific Needs etc., with support from the Outreach Project Manager.
  • Receive referrals from OVs.
  • Help with the CSFM process – specifically: setting up help desks and mobile teams, and working
  • alongside the Reporting and Accountability Officer and Information Management Assistant to put
  • systems into place that capture data, allow for analysis, and enable the team to spot trends and gaps.
  • Help implement a strong CwC information process and the design of an area-wide two-way
  • communications system.
  • Work in close partnership with CwC associates and provide support to CwC associates in order to help
  • integrate the CSFM and accountability into all programming.
  • Design and run capacity-building trainings for local partners, service providers, and local authorities.
  • Submitting daily, weekly, or monthly reports to Outreach Coordinator, such as the monthly donor report,
  • including a narrative analysis of trends, summary of campaigns, and photos. 
  • Uphold QANDIL and UNHCR’s code of conduct, and ensure that all persons of concern are treated with
  • dignity and respect, in accordance with humanitarian principles and human rights standards.
  • Conduct other duties as assigned by supervisors.
 
 
Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor Degree in humanities and international relations or any related field;
  • Mini mum Three Years’ experience in the similar position or field, should be able to report to UN
  • agencies is preferred;
  • Fluency in Kurdish, English languages, Arabic is an asset;
  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional
  • backgrounds;
  • Ability to handle confidential matters, meet deadlines and work under pressure;
  • Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, and drive for results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in addition to organizational skill.
