Job Location: Zakho, Duhok, Iraq


Job Purpose:

To supervise and coordinate all movements at pre-gate office  to obtain maximum utilization of resources in order to meet products targets, ensure that the operational movements are in conformity with defined procedures and policies of the Port Operations.


Job Context:

  • Supervise the pre-gate office and the pre-gate staff.
  • Makes regular check in the pre-gate office and yard to monitor operations needs.
  • Is responsible for Operations Standards and make sure to apply them.
  • Coordination with customers in order to facilitate easy access of the customer trucks to the pre-gate office.
  • Ensures all external trucks are serviced as per the time fixed by company procedures and Policies
  • Ensure trucks are positioned properly at the pre-gates yard by office team.
  • Coordinates with Main site to execute the planned operations effectively
  • Ensures manpower and equipment are completed before the start of shift and reports any resource shortage to Operations management.
  • Report and manage any problems regarding the truck flow
  • Ensures proper coordination between all personnel at pre-gate office.
  • Ensures adherence to establish procedures in case there is a natural disaster.
  • Submits all information, documentation and equipment to the next shift as per plans.

  • Ensure that each staff member is present throughout his duty hours.
  • Supervise employees reporting to them and report any issue to HR Department,
  • Plan employees annual leave, Submit to his superior the annual leave before to be submitted to HR,
  • Ensure Safety and Security procedures are implemented and respected by all employees and Adhere and respect safety and security procedures and policies 
  • Performs any other tasks assigned by superior.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • University degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Administration or related fields.
  • At least 2 years of experience in staff management or project implementation.
  • Very good interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills mainly in English and Kurdish; Arabic and Turkish are a plus.
  • Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and project management tools,
  • Solid skills including attention to details, multitasking skills, and working under pressure,
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical and confidentiality standards in a diverse workplace.
  • Ability to conduct field trips between Dohuk and Zakho.
  • Flexibility with regard to long working hours or working in weekends especially during workload.
