KfW Office Iraq
The KfW Office Iraq has been newly established with its main representative office in Baghdad and a representative antenna in Erbil. The KfW Office is a small, dynamic set-up actively supporting KfW’s interests and the German Government’s development cooperation in Iraq. 

The KfW representative office in Baghdad is looking for a new Office Manager (f/m) in a full-time position 

Based in Baghdad, our office manager is responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of our office in Baghdad as well as some oversight tasks for the antenna in Erbil. Your role will include providing a full range of office management duties and general affairs including, among others, the provision of support to the Director, office accounting, travel logistics and claims management, tax, procurement and payroll management, handling of all administrative issues that arise in connection with work permits and visa, organizing maintenance of office equipment and supplies, support logistics, event planning and the like - ad hoc assignments arise regularly. Within the framework of KfW’s regulations, you will have the flexibility to implement new procedures and systems to enhance the smooth running of our office.

Requirements and skills are, inter alia, 
  • Bachelor level degree or higher in management, administration, accountancy or similar field 
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (speaking/writing), Kurdish would be an asset
  • German language is not required but would be an asset, wanting to learn German would be a plus 
  • Computer literacy in excel, accounting software, online banking and the like and an affinity to database management and other systems that could increase the efficiency of our current systems 
  • A minimum of 5 (but preferably more) years of significant working experience with either the Government of Iraq, bi-or multilateral agencies, or a large international NGO
  • Proven ability to build and manage successful relationships and to establish a business network 
     
Timing 
We would ideally like our new office manager to join the team in early 2021.
