Chemonics Iraq seeks applications from qualified candidates for the North Regional Director. This position will be based in Erbil. The North Regional Director will represent the project in Northern Iraq and oversee the day-to-day management of projects Erbil office.
Responsibilities include:

Oversees and manages the day to day operations of the Erbil office

Under the COP’s overall leadership, leads working-level coordination with other USG implementing partners and donors operating in Northern Iraq or out of Erbil

Represents the project to external parties in Erbil when the COP or other senior management staff are not present

Represents the project to grantees, local stakeholders, and other beneficiaries when the COP or other senior management staff are not present

Ensures effective liaison between the Erbil office staff and their technical leads in the Baghdad office
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required

Experience overseeing office operations and management, including financial management, procurement and logistics, and personnel management

Experience interacting with clients, donors, and stakeholders, and representing programs to external audiences

Prior experience on USAID programs preferred

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to prioritize multiple work assignments in an extremely fast-paced environment, to meet deadlines, and to exercise good, strong professional judgment

Relevant field experience with local partners in conflict-affected environments and with remotely managed projects preferred

Fluency in written and oral Arabic and English is required; Written and oral fluency in Kurdish, and other local languages is a plus, but not required
