The Iraq Community Resilience Initiative (ICRI), an International Development project, seeks candidates for Monitoring and Evaluation Officer based in Erbil, Iraq. The project aims to promote recovery in conflict-affected areas, with a focus on minority communities, in Ninewa Province. The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer plays a central role in monitoring and evaluation of activities in support of ICRI’s program goal and objectives as well as design of those activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist program development officers (PDOs) and others as needed to review activity implementation plans.
  • Lead the drafting of activity-specific M&E plans and Grantee Final Report templates, tailored to the specific objectives and deliverables of each activity.
  • Lead the preparation of site visit plans, brief and train Field Program Assistants (FPAs) on site visit requirements, supervise the completion and quality collection by FPAs of site visit data.on data from site visits and conducting additional research as required.
  • Edit and/or assist other project staff in drafting impact and results summaries for active grants and/or other reporting as required. 
  • Ensure OTI Activity Database activity entries are regularly updated with timely and accurate information related to M&E and situational developments.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, development, or related field or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in any field with one or more years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience with monitoring and evaluation and research, including quantitative and qualitative research methods, surveys, and focus groups
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of the local context of Northern Iraq, specifically Ninewah province.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with culturally and geographically diverse staff
  • Work experience with a donor, contractor, or international NGO preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  •  
  • Working proficiency in written and spoken English and Arabic is required. Kurdish and/or another local language is preferred
