Detailed Responsibilities

Performs repairs and servicing for MAG programme vehicles and generators to a high standard, as directed by the Head Mechanic.

Informs the Head Mechanic of any damage sustained to a vehicle.

Adheres to Health and Safety Guidelines within the workshop environment and uses the appropriate personal protection equipment available.

Keeps tools clean and replaces them in their tool box at the end of the working day.

Reports any malfunctioning workshop equipment or tools to the Head Mechanic/Workshop Manager.

Carries out road tests of all vehicles.

Services generators and other equipment as directed.

Contributes to weekly workshop meetings.

Provide mobile repairs as directed by the senior mechanic
Selection Criteria The post holder should be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

Mechanical problem solving skills

Organised and able to work under pressure
-
Have a mechanical repair background with 3 years’ experience

Have a full valid general driving licence
-
As per contract workshop staff may be required to work shift patterns

Be fit and able to climb on a vehicle
