Role Summary:
A Logistics Assistant works in the area of shipping and receiving and supports all aspects of
warehouse operations. Responsible for coordinating outgoing/incoming shipments and
ensuring the accuracy of all shipping documentation.
The position requires an individual who is flexible, organized, and a team player. Must possess
great communication and customer service skills. Must be able to perform under pressure
and multitask. Must be able to work a schedule that includes a rotating shift schedule and
occasional weekends.
Job requirements
Logistic Assistant Responsibilities:
● Closely liaise with finance, sales, account managers and operations teams.
● Check the merchant invoice,including quantities & pricing in receiving items.
● Liaise with Finance regarding payment of invoices for receiving items.
● Monitor daily collection & shipping. Establish a work plan to ensure orders are
shipped and received on time.
● Cooperate with customer service, receive and handle customer inquiries and
complaints.
● Working with vendors to arrange the supply orders and contact them directly
day-to-day.
● Good communications skills
● Coordinates with Transportation Specialists in securing an optimal number of
transports.
● Run daily support reports, analyze data
● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Must be able to communicate clearly and rearrange priorities as needed
● knowledge of freight logistics and 3PL management/platforms
● Optimization and improvement of logistics processes and tools to make the activity
more reliable and increase performance
● Review inbound receipts and resolve any arising issues
● Check the receiving items and match the barcodes, codes, and report damaged
items.
Required Qualifications:
● 1+ years Logistics experience and customs clearance.
● Strong analytical skills, with innovative problem solving skills
● Ability to quickly learn new software, upgrades and procedures
● Must be proficient in Excel
● Ability to initiate process improvements.
● Effective teamwork skills, customer service, and professional communications skills
that includes dealing with customers & suppliers.
● Ability to coordinate multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to
detail
● Must have the ability to work a rotating schedule that may include weekends and PM
shifts as needed.
