PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This Purpose of Position will be used in the WVI or local Careers site, and if applicable, advertisements. Please describe the role in 2-3 concise sentences. Focus on the core of what this role is supposed to achieve. Describe the purpose of this position and how this position contributes to achieving department objectives and the management and performance of others.
The Livelihoods/ED specialis will be responsible for implementation of the Graduiation project and act as an expert for the project. The individual will be responsible for providing technical and organizational support and overseeing the contextualization and implementation of interventions in Baghdida, Ninewa. Liaises and works closely with related structures, stakeholders and community members and carries out day-to-day implementation of HH Couaching, and training program meanwhile looking supervising implementing parner as per the MoU. Deliverable project outcomes in compliance with Donor’s requirements. He/She will be represented as a local coach and develop livelihoods roadmaps and ensure quality implementation of services. 
                                            
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Implement project activities in accordance with the project guidelines and targets
  • Provide the project team with continuous feedback on HH conditions, technology changes and all external factors that are likely to be relevant to it in the future; Spread the project identity and message into national stakeholders
  • Ensure the quality monitoring of training/capacity building events within in accordance to the quality standards
  • Lead and facilitate sharing best practices within staff and stakeholders
  • Provide technical input and coordination of events in the community on promoting equitable access to resources, under the guidance of Project Coordinator
  • Establish systems, processes, contextualize models to support team and implementing partner in having one common approach in solving the raised issues within the scope of Livelihood  programming
  • Support Project Coordinator to administer project budget to ensure accurate and timely budget spending
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders like local Camp management, local communities, donor representatives and other stakeholders as appropriate
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Attend and participate in weekly meeting with the direct line manager

Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
  1. Higher education
  2. Proven ability to develop and communicate a common vision among diverse partners
  3. Excellent organizational, analytical
  4. Strong interpersonal skills
  5. Proven ability to manage stakeholders
  6. Fluency in Arabic, English and Kurdish languages
  7. Two years of experience working experience in Livelihoods programs.
  8. Fluency in English and Arabic languages
  9. Knowledge of the returnee profile in Ninewa.
  10. Ability and willingness to learn new things and support new initiatives
  11. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure, efficient task prioritization and time management
  12. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with the community
  13. Use reflective practice and promote its use for learning, Use critical thinking and analysis
  14. Strategic, creative, and innovative thinking
  15. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with partners
  16. Understanding of community mobilisation and empowerment principles and approaches
  17. Excellent coordination skills
  18. Ability to engage in personal learning and development
  19. Practice in community development    
  20. Training experience
  21. Experience of communicating with Government, Non-Government, organizations and other related area stakeholders.
  22. The position requires being in the Baghdida 4 days a week
  23. The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 75% of the time.  
  24. Be prepared to travel to implementation sites and regional, global meetings as required.
