PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Livelihoods Agriculture specialist will be responsible for Support the implementation of technical training to improve farmers and management skills;
Provide continuous technical assistance to Beneficiaries and to improve Agriculture activities.
Support activities to improve the beneficiary’s skills
Promote capacity building and technical skills to Beneficiaries.
Facilitate organization and follow up on exchange visits involving the local stakeholders (Ministry of Agriculture, Stakeholders, and Beneficiaries).
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Major Activities
Implement project activities in accordance with the project guidelines and targets
Provide the project team with continuous feedback on HH conditions, technology changes and all external factors that are likely to be relevant to it in the future; Spread the project identity and message into national stakeholders
Ensure the quality monitoring of training/capacity building events within in accordance to the quality standards
Lead and facilitate sharing best practices within staff and stakeholders
Provide technical input and coordination of events in the community on promoting equitable access to resources, under the guidance of Project Coordinator
Establish systems, processes, contextualize models to support team and implementing partner in having one common approach in solving the raised issues within the scope of Livelihood programming
Support Project Coordinator to administer project budget to ensure accurate and timely budget spending
Liaise with relevant stakeholders like local Camp management, local communities, donor representatives and other stakeholders as appropriate
Perform other duties as required
Attend and participate in weekly meeting with the direct line manager
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Agricultural Engineer with minimum 2 year of working experience on agriculture and in particular field work experience.

Fluency in Arabic, English and Kurdish languages

Two years of experience working experience in Livelihoods programs.

Fluency in English and Arabic languages

Knowledge of the returnee profile in Ninewa.

Work Environment

The position requires being in the Ninewa, Duhok and Erbil.

The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 75% of the time.
