Position Summary:
Genel Energy is an independent E&P company listed on the main market of the London Stock Exchange. Headquartered in London with offices in Ankara, Erbil, Morocco & Somaliland, Genel is one of the largest London-listed independent oil producers and is the largest holder of reserves and resources in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. This role will oversee and coordinate Genel’s land transportation operations in KRI for crude oil transportation, rig move, logistics, security, operations etc. This position is also responsible for ensuring that the Company’s health, safety goals and initiatives are in place for warehouse activities/operations.

Key Accountabilities
To operate within and promote Genel Energy core values and culture. To participate in the implementation and execution of land transportation HSE plans and activities required in making continuous and positive improvements.
Key tasks will include:
Develop competence as Company’s expert for land transportation standards like IOGP etc.
Be the focal point between the land transportation contractor(s) and the Company.
Monitor land transportation through the contractors and Genel’s direct IVMS system daily.
Implement immediate interventions as required, analyze data, create reports, drive feedback and continuous improvement process.
Ensure that all crude oil transportation activity complies with Company land transport and HSE requirements and standards and in country legislation.
Review contractors’ reports, project documentation and lead contractor performance management and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Participate in HSE risk management; bow ties’ development, risk assessments to plan and execute prevention and mitigation controls.
Assist with investigations relating to improper practices, losses and non-conformance to determine root causes and propose/implement actions.
Assist in maintaining transportation emergency response plans with training, drills and exercises.
Participate in emergency response as needed.
Conduct regular HSE audits, inspections and visits across all transport operations and contractors, and maintain action tracking register for the recorded agreed actions.
Providing input to the collection of Lessons to be Learned for the land transportation operations.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Work Experience

University Graduate or Diploma in Engineering or HSE related field

Fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking) and proficient with Microsoft Office.

5+ years of experience in logistics related to land transport. Experience with crude oil transportation

5+ years of experience in HSE related activity especially related to land transport operations.

NEBOSH or equivalent certification plus experience with IVMS systems.

Knowledge of industry HSE best practices and national and international HSE legislation.

Proactive self-starter who can work independently / in a team environment with minimal supervision

Be able to work in remote location with minimum corporate support.
