We are looking for a skilled, experienced IT Engineer to manage our company system and to assist our clients with all IT related technical support issues. You will meet with clients to determine the nature of the problem, diagnose hardware or software issues, provide effective assistance, and maintain strong customer relationships. You will be responsible for designing hardware configurations, installing software, managing network systems, and training staff on correct operating procedures.
To be successful, you should have in-depth knowledge of business software and hardware systems, have extensive experience maintaining large-scale computer systems, the ability to project manage, excellent troubleshooting skills, and high-level interpersonal skills. A successful candidate will be able to resolve all IT issues quickly and effectively while maintaining a good relationship with the client, as well as design and maintain a dynamic and stable system to perfectly meet the needs of the company.
Responsibilities 
  • Develop, implement, and manage a strategic supplier management program for select suppliers to ensure optimal supply chain performance, with a focus on quality, service, delivery, risk and cost.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of a technology project to ensure it is completed on-time and within budget.
  • Manage scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing, vendors, and contractual deliverables. 
  • Completion of long-term IT engineering projects.
  • Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop detailed project plans. 
  • Monitor project milestones and generate periodic status reports. 
  • Evaluate and manage risk. 
  • Incorporate quality measures and standards to project deliverables. 
  • Design, procure and install, and configure IT systems. 
  • Implementing and supporting application security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data.
  • Manage development and execution of best practice control procedures bringing increased scrutiny, rigor, and risk management protocols to raise the organization's capability maturity levels.
  • Lead efforts to extend and improve patching & vulnerability remediation operations oversight practice, with focus on process improvement and reporting.
  • Drives project completion successfully by achieving all milestones within each project, and meeting business requirements within the approved budget and timeline.
  • Installing and configuring client computer systems.
  • Responding to client IT support requests.
  • Meeting with clients to diagnose software, networking, or hardware issues.
  • Providing technical support on-site or via remote-access systems.
  • Offering solutions that meet the needs of the client.
  • Repairing hardware malfunctions, software issues, and networking problems.

  • Outlining, defining, and initiating project.
  • Implementing document control policies and documentation templates.
  • Maintaining a good working knowledge of assigned component projects.
  • Evaluating standards of component products.
  • Monitoring project progress and implementing changes where necessary.
  • Monitoring expenditures in accordance with budget.
  • Ensuring compliance with objectives, organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Compiling project reports and informing management regarding problems.
  • Ensuring project complies with best practices, SOPs, PMO policies and other policies.
  • Travel is necessary to visit sites and staying on the project for a designated duration.  
  • Working hours are typically standard office hours, but strict deadlines mean longer hours, weekends and being on-call are all possible and expected.
 
Skills and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • 5+ years’ experience, preferably in camp construction projects (200 men and above)
  • Demonstrated IT experience working with a broad range network and telecommunications hardware and software with centralized management in an enterprise environment.
  • Understanding of both DSS (National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual, Industrial Security Field Operation Process Manual, DoE security requirements and NIST security controls is desired.
  • Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer.
  • Knowledge of web services, API, and IP based protocols.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Shell.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer hardware and networking systems.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think critically.
  • Familiarity with general OS systems, Enterprise, programming languages, and Office software.
  • Knowledge of LAN and wireless networks.
  • Ability to project manage.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues.
  • Knowledge of database and networking security systems.
  • CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, MCSE, or similar certification.
  • Understanding of MSP ticketing and Alert Management Systems.
  • Thorough understanding of project management fundamentals.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle.
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational and time management skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Fluent in English.
