Looking for Interpreters and Translators in 3 different categories for the following languages:
Kurdish – Swedish
Kurdish – Finnish
Kurdish – Hungarian
Kurdish – German
Kurdish – Italian
Kurdish – Dutch
Following requirements apply:
CAT I
Read, write, and speak clearly while using concise grammar and pronunciation from Kurdish dialect into Wanted language and vice versa. Conduct consecutive, accurate translations and interpretations of on-going conversations and/or activities. Familiarity and ability to conduct oneself in accordance with the local culture and customs. Ability to deal inconspicuously with local population. General linguistic support for military operations and interpret during interviews and meetings.
CAT II
Subcategory A, LNL (Local National Linguist) and category B, FNL (Foreign National Linguist). Conduct accurate and consecutive translation, transcription, and interpretation from Kurdish dialect into Wanted language and contrariwise. Translate various syntax and expressions to include colloquial and slang phrases from English to Kurdish dialect and vice versa. Provide advice on cultural and ethnic significance of statements, conversations, situations, and documents. Accurately scan, research, and analyse foreign language documents when required. Translate, transcribe and analyse communications.
CAT III
Native proficiency in the target language. Able to understand the essentials of all speech in a standard dialect and have broad enough vocabulary that he/she rarely has to ask for paraphrasing or explanation. Capable to follow accurately the essentials of conversations between educated native speakers, reasonably make and answer telephone calls, understand radio broadcasts, news stories similar to wire service reports, oral reports, some oral technical reports and public addresses on non-technical subjects. Fluent in English with ILR 3 or equivalent. Providing advice on cultural and ethnic significance of statements, conversations, situations, and documents. Performance of document exploitation and scan, research, and analyse foreign language documents for key information. Translate and/or transcribe foreign language documents. Provision of input on reports if required.
