Job Description – Internal Auditor
Reports to: Audit Manager
Job Purpose:1- Ensure successful completion of assigned audit engagements from start to finish: Inspect the compliance of developed and implemented documentation with National legislations, corporate regulations, standards, and approved policies and procedures.
2- Report and Communicate breaches/potential issues with concerned, ensure potential concerns are addressed/treated in a timely and effective manner.
Perform duties in accordance with Malia Group policies and procedures
On Planning & Execution (40%)
Effectively assist in developing the yearly audit plan Constantly review processes, procedures and previous audit reports in order to prepare/update related questionnaires Meet with auditee(s), and conduct required audits according to schedule Collect data (including copies of samples), gather all valuable information to be included in the Audit Report Analyze findings in coordination with the team, review compliance and conformity with procedures and regulations
On Reporting (14%)
Submit needed Audit Reports highlighting strong vs weak points; include recommendations and/or opportunities for improvement (attach needed documentations/samples) Effectively assist in developing yearly business plans
On Follow up (15%)
Share Audit output with concerned Department Manager; develop an action plan including deadlines for corrective/preventive actions implementation
Highlight pending matters to concerned Head of Departments; make sure to include it within the scope of the next Internal Audit
On Inventory & Asset Management (20%)
Conduct required inventories according to the plan, report/highlight discrepencies, and perform needed reconciliations Constantly/Suprisingly review assets by department, and make sure they are identified, categorized, maintained, labelled, disposed and transferred according to the procedureOn External Audit Support (6%)Provide needed support to external auditors (when applicable)On Audit Trends (5%)Keep up-to-date with latest audit trends
