In close collaboration with the Food Security Team Leader, the Hygiene Promotion Assistant will be responsible for organizing and carrying out daily hygiene promotion activities within the off camp in line with agreed work plans, strategies and methodologies
Collate data from the service contract workers and prepare regular reports on activities and WASH conditions for monitoring.
Coordinate with the Food Security Team Leader to ensure that the various aspects of the Food response are integrated.
Liaise with community leaders and other sectors and agencies working locally in order to coordinate within the Food sector and between sectors such as health and shelter.
Preparation of reports and checklists.
Promote safe WASH practices, including appropriate use and maintenance of WASH facilities and services specifically water supply (Tap stands), Latrines, and Hand washing facilities.
Carry out informal and formal training sessions (according to identified needs) and evaluate the impacts of this training.
Participate in gathering and compiling of project information (reports, assessments, KAP surveys, monitoring & Evaluation
Any other duties assigned by the Food Security Team Leader.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Bachelor or diploma degree.
Fresh graduate or one year experience in the same position or field.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Good level of computer literacy.
Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility.
Fluency in Kurdish, Arabic languages, English is preferred.
