We are looking for an experienced HR Manager with excellent communication skills and outstanding people skills to take ownership of all HR matters across the company from recruitment to performance reviews, wage reviews, disciplinary action, and learning and development. To perform well in this role, you should have experience as a HR Manager, or other senior roles in the HR team, and knowledge around all legal requirements in this role.
To ensure success, you are expected to be knowledgeable with employment legislation and possess strategic and commercial insight to the labor process. You must be able to negotiate with diplomacy. You should display excellent organizational skills, good time-management skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Acting as the first point of contact for all personnel queries.
Setting up interviews and corresponding with prospective employees in a timely manner.
Travel is necessary to visit sites and staying on the project for a designated duration.
Working hours are typically standard office hours, but strict deadlines mean longer hours, weekends and being on-call are all possible and expected.
Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or equivalent. Masters is preferred.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Human Resources.
Additional training/certification in Payroll Management – may be advantageous.
Labor Relations certification – may be advantageous.
Experience as a Skills Development Facilitator – may be advantageous.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
Experience in educating and coaching staff.
Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations.
Experience in following and maintaining workplace privacy.
Ability to give presentations.
Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws.
Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
Computer literacy. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
