Heavy logistics Supervisor

​Duties:

• Responsible for loading and unloading trucks;

• Oversees rig up/rig down processes

• Oversees, sets up and schedules rig moves using house resources and contract trucks and crane services;

• Coordinates moves with Tool Pushers;

• Schedules and dispatches trucks;

• Makes sure loads are sent in correct order;

• Escorts oversized loads;

• Directs drivers;

• Ability to deliver instruction to drivers on how to use equipment as required

• Attend tasks to ensure that goods are shipped and delivered in a timely manner

• Ensure inventory levels are sufficiently maintained.

• Oversee the transportation of products from one location to another, such as from loading docks to warehouses or warehouses to stores.

• Study client or customer needs and manage inventory based on these needs.

• Change and replace drivers.

Skills

Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, organizational and customer service skills are all a must for successful Logistic Supervisors. The ability to meet sometimes short deadlines and to be detail-oriented are also essential. They should be team players that can motivate and manage various individuals to work together to achieve the same goal.
