DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in all aspects of software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, design, programming, deployment, and maintenance.

Design, code, and test applications and user interfaces.

Convert Sketch files into fully functioning e-commerce sites using Shopify Plus.
-
Perform thorough QA testing including cross-browser/platform compatibility with a design point of view in mind.

Layout content and images following design style guides.

Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written and designed, coded, tested, debugged and document those programs.

Perform project planning, organizing and implementation until the application is commissioned in a production environment.

Create, modify, and deploy responsively designed code for HTML, CSS, JS, and jQuery on our PHP based custom shopping cart.

Be comfortable with making modifications to our WordPress blog.

Be involved in the web design and wire-framing process to help ensure a speedy and problem-free development cycle.

Help implement a scalable and iterative development process to ensure we maintain the integrity of our websites code. We need to know what code was implemented, why it was implemented, that no prior changes are overwritten, and that we have the capability to roll back a change easily, should it be required.

Efficiently manage all web development projects within JIRA and proactively report on projects to management and other involved parties.

Setting up payment integration, shipping methods and taxes in Shopify platform.

Creating responsive website designs.

Producing high quality of work with a strong focus on detail.

Provide Detailed Reports and Analytics as requested by management.

Responsible for the development of the Shopify Plus platform, themes, liquid programming language and corresponding apps
-
Contribute in the development of open source software, HTML5/CSS/JavaScript, and common web technologies integral to building seamless multi-channel experiences

Developing testing plans and troubleshooting issues related to e-commerce issues
-
Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves site and application issues; recommends and implements preventive measures to avoid future problems.

Independently analyze e-commerce data & work with management to implement findings across our portfolio.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Qualification / Education Level :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred.
Special Skills, if any:

Solid understanding e-commerce and consumer marketing technologies

In depth knowledge of shopify and its templating language

General experience building, launching and maintaining stores, as well as general
-
knowledge of the admin system
-
Good organizational skills
-
Able to work with Sketch or Photoshop Files
-
Experience in Shopify theme development and customization.

Strong understanding of responsive web design techniques.
-
Ability to create standards-compliant code
-
Speaks English & Arabic, Preferably Iraqi or Arab nationalityto be based in Erbil
