Job Purpose: To combine the art of design with the art of programming; plan and carry out all development tasks and own tasks related to implementing visual elements that users see and interact with in a web application or a website and helping to document business requirements, implementing code changes, testing, gathering approvals and migrating code.
Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform software development tasks
- Translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
- Partner with internal teams to define and implement solutions that improve end to end solutions and support experiences identification and resolution, writing clean, modular and self-sustaining code
- Taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.
- Working to create functional requirements.
- Quality control and test, participate in troubleshooting design and code quality issues and develop solutions
- Perform technical documentation for every project while commenting code and write neat and organized code
- Contribute independently while functioning as a member of a high performing team
- Recommend indexes for performance enhancements
- Work closely with both Development, QA, and other team members to develop solutions for clients
Performance Standards & Skills:
- Knowledge and background of IT, Computer Science, Software or relevant technical fields
- Knowledge of principles and practices of Programming
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
- Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, etc
- Solid knowledge of and ability to use vanilla JavaScript, front end
- JavaScript frameworks and libraries, mainly Vue.js, jQuery, etc. to develop solutions.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as {{Git / Mercurial / SVN}}
- Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
