Job Description:

The Finance Manager is responsible for the effective management of the organization's finance, including the various finance reports that the organization needs for the benefit of donors. Finance Manager will also work to manage The Station's annual budget and other duties related to accounting and finance.


Key Responsibilities:

-       Generate monthly and quarterly/annual reports for the Executive Director.

-       Prepare all financial statements for the gouvernantes / work collaboratively with the legal accountant to prepare and present the annual financial statements to the government.

-       Monitoring procurement actions to ensure that spending remains in line with the annual budget / in accordance with the annual plan.

-       Manage, track, and oversee all of the organization's bank accounts held in various banks.

-       Prepare all monthly/quarterly reports for all donors based on projects implemented by the programs department at all Station branches.

-       Manage and maintain the organization’s financial and accounting system.

-       Ensure adherence to the organization's financial policies and procedures.

-       Process and monitor funds awarded to the organization; become familiar with the donor's financial policy in order to ensure compliance, transparency, and accuracy.

-       Working directly with HR to prepare monthly payrolls.

-       Prepare and send all payment requests, and oversee payment transfer.

-       Audit and support employees with paperwork for work-related travel, such as expense claims, reimbursements, and/or advances, etc.

-       Ensure that the organization's financial bookkeeping is accurate, up to date, and meticulously documented.

-       Work closely with and oversee all financial documents prepared and completed by the operation's team.

-       Provide training and support to the financial employees.

-       Update the financial policy on a regular basis in accordance with Iraqi laws.


Required Qualifications and/or Experience:

-       Excellent report-writing and communication skills.

-       Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and other financial planning software.

-       At least four years of experience working as a Finance department in an NGO context.

-       Must possess strong skills in data analysis.

-       Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).

-       Be familiar with QuickBooks.

-       Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.

-       Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.

-       Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of our policies, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

-       Degree in finance/accounting or related.

-       Must have fluent written and spoken English and Arabic.
