Company Description: Our Company is a local general contracting, general trading and logistics company from Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

Job Summary
Our company is aiming to move to next level of professionalism, business relationships and service level. We are willing to establish an effective, efficient and fit for purpose finance department to meet the needs of the company.

The Finance Manager will start the department from scratch.

Top KPIs:

  • Prepare and implement a fit-for-purpose accounting system.
  • Prepare financial reports (income statement, cash flow…etc)
  • Prepare and implement a petty cash system.

Role Description:

  • Establish a proper accounting system that is effective, efficient, and fit for the purposes of the company’s business needs.
  • Train Company’s accountant(s) on the new accounting system.
  • Monitor and supervise the work of accountant(s).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and present it to General Manager.
  • Prepare and implement a petty cash system.
  • After preparing and implementing all the processes of the department, look for automation solutions to automate most of the processes.
  • Oversee the whole operations and performance of the department.
  • Act as controlling manager for the company’s expenses and bills.
  • Work closely with General Manager to develop and implement financial strategies and plans to achieve Company’s objectives.
  • Use in-depth analytical skills to help General Manager understand the financial strengths and weaknesses of the company.
  • Establish a financial audit system and implement it.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the department and company.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Trustworthy, is the most important value for us.
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business management.
  • At least three years of experience in finance management roles.
  • At least seven years of experience in all the areas of Finance (accounting, controlling, auditing, reporting…etc.).
  • Speaks Kurdish and English, Arabic is a plus.
  • Professional communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including experience in ERP Systems.
