In 2016 Human Appeal established an office Iraq. HA is an INGO that provides emergency aid and services to people affected by conflict and displacement in Iraq. HA works in a variety of sectors which include; Education, Food Security and Livelihoods, WASH, Shelter, Protection and others.


An intern working in the field of finance helps in the development and implementation of policies and practices for financial management, payroll, accounting and so on.

He/She can practically apply his/her theoretical knowledge of financial laws, government policies in his/her day to day work at a finance department.


  • Assist in implementing Finance policies and procedures.
  • Assist with month-end financial reports.
  • help with accounts receivable, payable and bank statement reconciliation.
  • Assist with audits.
  • Balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Work with the finance team on yearly forecasting efforts.
  • Support with the monthly payment.
  • Data Entry.

Any other duties assigned by the line manager .

The position will be based in Erbil Office

Benefits : The Intern will get $300 allowance 


Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum university degree in Accounting.

  • Fresh Graduate.

  • Computer literate and competent with Microsoft office and other data management systems, as required.

  • Excellent verbal & oral communication skills.

  • Good verbal and written in English, Arabic and Kurdish.

  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, manage time and prioritize work to deadlines.

  • Can work independently, i.e. with minimal supervision.

  • Punctuality and respect for rules and procedures.

  • Must be able to maintain highest level of confidentiality regarding work-related information and data.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
