MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Compile monthly financial transactions and keep relevant records for each transaction in the financial system.
  • Makes computations for balancing and maintaining ledgers, completing reports, and providing information upon request for specific purposes; balances and reconciles monies received.
  • Responsible for cash management of the main safe.
  • Receive cash amounts from Qandil interdependent agent.
  • Checks documents related to contracts payments for accuracy of name, amounts,and date, pay cash amounts and keep records of all installments.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of other field offices accountants who performaccounting and bookkeeping tasks.
  • Perform other duties may be required by the supervisor.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS):
  • Bachelor Degree or Diploma in finance or accounting;
  • One year previous NGO or humanitarian experience is an advantage.
  • Speaks English and Kurdish. Arabic language is Essential.
  • Honest, hardworking and independent
  • Good communication skills. Polite and respectful
  • Familiar with using Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel and Word).
  • Willing and able to travel across Dohuk governorate independently.
  • Able to represent QANDIL and the humanitarian principles it stands for.
