MosulSpace is an innovation hub that is involved in education, innovation entrepreneurship and technology sectors. MosulSpace mission is to improve the private sector and youth skills through training programs, co-working spaces and makerspace where innovators can create and build their prototypes. We aim to promote the idea of entrepreneurship and technology in the community and support the start-ups to take the private sector to another level as well as strengthen the social cohesion through our social activities.
Mosul Space is leading the development of the innovation eco-system in Mosul, establishing the city’s first purpose-built co-working and makerspace, supported by the international NGO Field Ready and donor GIZ.
The Finance Assistance and Logistic will support the Mosul Space team work on the financial and operations systems, and take responsibility for seeing that they are used effectively.
The following are illustrative responsibilities that will evolve over time and depend on organisational needs:
Finance Assistance and Logistic
Support Mosul Space to establish a sustainable financial reporting system, meeting donor criteria, and in line with Field Ready’s global system.
Perform all financial procedures (payments, receipts etc.) and maintain financial records.
Ensure correct financial procedures are maintained and financial records are complete, accurate, well archived and safeguarded.
Prepare necessary documentation for procurement, oversee biding process and follow up on orders.
Support Mosul Space staff prepare quotes and invoices for private clients, budgets for donor proposals etc.

Ensure Mosul Space meets all Iraq’s statuary requirements regarding staff employment and compensation.
Contribute to Mosul Space’s external communications, and internal communications as appropriate.
Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets
Maintain customer booking for Mosul Space asset and provide monthly report with additional KPIs report.
Assess the Mosul Space need and provide weekly procurements list.
Record all goods in store and translate all receipt
QUALIFICATIONS & CHARACTERISTICS
Prior experience in finance, HR, or office administration, ideally for an NGO.
Experience in setting up new template for accounting systems.
Experience in book-keeping and computerised accounting systems.
Experience in making improvements to financial systems; an aptitude for this work is an advantage.
Experience in reporting to donors in an NGO environment.
Good understanding of the laws of Iraq related to tax, insurance, etc.
Experience in HR policies and procedures and administration systems.
Experience of setting-up and managing office systems.
Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel).
Good planning and organisational skills and efficient work methods.
Ability to work well in a team, as well as independently.
Fluency in Arabic and English.
