This field-based Field Security Supervisor role shall be responsible for the oversight and management of security at Genel’s field locations in the KRI. The primary objective of the role is to ensure the safety of Genel personnel and assets.

Key Accountabilities:

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Ensuring the integrity of all security-related operations and infrastructure at Genel field locations
Implementing the requirements of the security plans, evacuation plans and SOPs
Oversight of access control and procedures of all Genel’s field locations
Engaging with the Person-In-Charge (PIC) for the execution of emergency response
Directing and managing third party security Contractor Field Support Services (FSS) Team
Ensuring all members of the FSS Team know their roles and responsibilities
Working closely with FSS Team Leader to ensure all duties assigned to the FSS Team are carried out promptly and professionally
Reviewing FSS Team performance to ensure compliance and making recommendations for performance improvement
Ensuring regular training of FSS Team is conducted
Reviewing FSS training
Ownership of, and primary point of contact for, all incidents
Writing incident reports and submitting to Genel’s Security Coordinator
Maintaining incident log
Liaising with Company PIC and other Genel personnel based at field locations on security-related matters
Conducting security induction courses at the EPF for new arrivals
Working to secure buy-in of Company personnel
Liaising with locally deployed Oil Police Force (OPF) and OPF operations command
Ensuring OPF understands Genel’s requirements
Being the primary point of contact between Genel and the local Asayish, police and other government agencies relevant to Genel’s security operations
Building a strong relationship with government security-related agencies, in particular the Asayish
Ensuring Asayish understands Genel’s operations
Understanding Asayish issues/concerns
Discussing local community concerns with Asayish
Mapping all key security stakeholders in Company area of operations
Mapping all key local community personalities and maintaining a database
Understanding local community dynamics and passing on any community-related information to Security Coordinator
Maintaining the daily log of events

The Field Security Supervisor is required to carry out other duties as directed by Genel’s Security Manager or his designated representative. These duties include, but are not limited to:

QA/QC of third-party Contractor performance
QA/QC of third-party Contractor training
Submitting QA/QC reports
Supporting the Security Operations Centre
Advising on updates for security Standard Operating Procedures
Translating / interpreting for Company security expatriate personnel

Skills and Experience:

Good understanding of local tribes and tribal structure, ability to interact with foreign nationals
Have a minimum Level C English language proficiency
Minimum 5 years’ experience is in a similar role in Oil and Gas industry is required.
Be articulate with good cognitive skills
Demonstrable command and control skills
Show initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision
Show attention to detail
Be sensitive to local community dynamics
Understand Company policies and objectives
Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications

All department of Genel Energy,
Asaish, Police, and local community’s representatives (Mukhtar, Anjuman),
local residences around the operational sites,
Security service providers on the sites
