Job Title: Field Officer
Duty Station:  Sinjar Field Office and project implementation areas (Sinjar District).
Job Type: Full time.
Duration: 12 months contract with the possibility to extension based on performance.
Probational period: 3 months
Working hours:  Sunday to Thursday from 08:00-17:00 (with 1-hour lunch break).
Salary: 1000 USD per month

Yazda is looking for 1 Field Officer who will make a team with a Project Manager and a Field Assistant to support opening of 64 small agricultural and non-agricultural businesses; and 16 on job vocational trainings in Sinjar district. Under direct management of ASB Agricultural and Livelihood Program Manager (ALPM) and the supervision of Yazda Project Manager the position holder will undertake the following tasks and responsibilities.
 
Role Purpose.
Under the supervision and in close collaboration with Yazda Project Manager, the position holder will participate in the planning and design of the field monitoring activities and will be responsible for the implementation, assessment, follow-up monitoring and evaluation of Yazda project activities in the target communities in Ninewa Governorate in Sinjar districts 
 
Job Description.
  1. Identifying beneficiaries of the project in coordination with Yazda Project Manager/Country Director and ASB ALPM following the project beneficiary selection criteria.
  2. Plan and follow the activities of the project with the project team such as field assessments, market price monitoring, distribution of any project materials and implementation of training activities.
  3.  Responsible for monitoring the impact of the project and its implementation of field sites.
  4. Reporting progress to Yazda Project Manager/Country Director and ASB ALPM.
  5. Organizing logistics, purchases as per project needs.
  6. Represent Yazda in meetings at various levels when assigned by Yazda Project Manager.
  7. Carry out any additional task assigned by ASB ALPM and/or Yazda Project Manager.
Technical / Professional.
  1. Qualification Bachelor degree Higher degree in Agriculture/Social Science or Administration preferred.
  2. Minimum of 2 years professional field work/administrative experience, previous experience in a national/international organization preferred.
  3. Good organizational skills.
  4. Ability to solve problems.
  5. Ability to manage time effectively.
  6. Excellent computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access.
Coordination.
  1. Supporting Yazda Project Manager for any tasks related to project implementation.
  2. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the start up and running of the small agribusiness and non-agribusiness initiatives.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the start up and running of the on job vocational trainings.
  4. Ensure that distribution of materials and equipment are timely and according to procedures and project needs.
Reporting.
  1. Monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of the project activities. 
  2. Provide regular reports (weekly and monthly) to the Project Manager/Country Director and ASB ALPM on the progress of the implementation of the field activities.
  3. Support the preparation and submission of the Reporting of the field activities of the project to Yazda’s Project Manager/Country Director and ASB ALPM.
  4. Provide/update on any related information regarding the project planning and/or implementation to Yazda’s Project Manager/Country Director and ASB ALPM when requested.
Personal Competences.
  1. Able to work with little or none supervision at all, focused, well organized and detail oriented.
  2. Able to prioritize work, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  3. Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility, responsibility, integrity, team work, self-motivated, preparedness to work off-time.
  4. Good verbal and written communication skills in English, Kurdish (Kurmanji) and Arabic.
  5. Ability to solve problems.
  6. Preparedness and willingness to travel in/and around Sinjar District area.
  7. Ability and willingness to work with people from different ethnic groups, religions and socio-economic backgrounds.
  8. Valid driving license (experience of driving 4x4 car manual gear).
  9. Permanent residence in Sinjar district.
