Background:
QANDIL is a Swedish non-profit, non-political, non-religious humanitarian aid organization that was founded in 1991 in Stockholm, Sweden. Having continuously operated in the Kurdistan Region ever since, QANDIL’s main priorities of work are construction and infrastructure activities, refugee and IDP initiatives, health, water, sanitation and hygiene, and capacity building.

 


Job Description:
The Field monitor for cash for winterization will be based in Dohuk office but requires daily travel to IDPs Camps and urban areas scattered around Dohuk governorate. S/He will participate in further assessments of the forms and also in distribution actives with other team members. S/he will be under the direct supervision of and will report and the Cash Assistant team leader.
 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Uphold QANDIL and UNHCR’s code of conduct, and ensure that all persons of concern are treated with dignity and respect, in accordance with humanitarian principles and human rights standards; 
  • Organize, supervise and follow up the implementation of the distributing kerosene; 
  • Preserve the secrets of work and not to give information to anyone except the co-workers group and his/her supervisor; 
  • Take responsibility in work and also in receiving and receipt materials or documents; 
  • Must be responsible of checking the quality of Kerosene; 
  • Supervise the subordinates and responsible for their personal related matters; 
  • Prepare time-schedules and follow-up its implementation progress; 
  • Liaise and coordinate with UNHCR representative in relation to the UNHCR related activities; 
  • Coordinate with the relevant authorities in relation the related areas; 
  • Ability to control and to work systematically, also must be able to communicate with the people and the environment; 
  • Prepare and submitting daily reports and final physical inventory as required; 
  • To identify possible additional needs of assistance; 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or related to Qandil Organization when needed.

 


Required Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, and Skills):
  • University Degree in Human Science or field; 
  • Minimum one year or two years’ experience in the same position or field. 
  • Fluency in Kurdish & Arabic, English is an asset; 
  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds;  
  • Ability to handle confidential matters, meet deadlines and work under pressure;  Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, and drive for results. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in addition to organizational skill.
