SWEDO is a Swedish non-profit, non-political, non-religious development aid organization that was founded in 1991 in Stockholm, Sweden. Having continuously operated in the Kurdistan Region ever since, SWEDO’s main priorities of work are construction and infrastructure activities, refugee and IDP initiatives,
health, water, sanitation and hygiene, and capacity building.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The NFI distribution clerks will prepare and implement the distribution of NFI and Food items including site selection, site preparation or registration status, distribution, re-stocking, crowd and the verification handling of supervisor volunteers on site complaints.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Uphold SWEDO and UNHCR’s code of conduct, and ensure that all persons of concern are treated with dignity and respect, in accordance with humanitarian principles and human rights standards.
  • Inform the community of the date, location and eligibility requirement for the distribution if required, participate in the initial needs assessment to help the program gain a better understanding of the scope and location of crisis
  • Promptly identify and recommend solutions to technical issues
  • Monitor progress against work plan, promptly identifying any current or potential delays distribution
  • Fully comply with SWEDO safety and security procedures and provide input to security monitoring and assessments to enable and promote a safe and secure environment for program implementation
  • Collect and compile key distribution data including registration lists, distribution lists and distribution reports
  • Participate in monitoring and evolution activities directly or by providing feedback to the monitoring and evolution team
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or related to SWEDO Organization when needed.
 
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor Degree in Management or Statistics;
  • At least one to two years’ experience in the same position or field;
  • Experience working with NGOs or humanitarian organizations is a plus; understanding of humanitarian principles & values is a must;
  • Fluency in Kurdish & Arabic languages, English language is an asset;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook email;
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills;
  • Possesses strong cross-cultural communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Good management, administrative and communication skills;
  • Must be organized, able to be multi-tasked, flexible, and able to work as a team and individual;
  • Be very flexible regarding time, tasks and responsibilities.
