Background:
QANDIL is a Swedish non-profit, non-political, non-religious humanitarian aid organization that was founded in 1991 in Stockholm, Sweden. Having continuously operated in the Kurdistan Region ever since, QANDIL’s main priorities of work are construction and infrastructure activities, refugee and IDP initiatives, health, water, sanitation and hygiene, and capacity building. 
 

Job Description:
The NFI distribution clerks will prepare and implement the distribution of NFI and Food items including site selection, site preparation or registration status, distribution, re-stocking, crowd and the verification handling of supervisor volunteers on site complaints.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Uphold QANDIL and UNHCR’s code of conduct, and ensure that all persons of concern are treated with dignity and respect, in accordance with humanitarian principles and human rights standards.  
  • Inform the community of the date, location and eligibility requirement for the distribution if required, participate in the initial needs assessment to help the program gain a better understanding of the scope and location of crisis 
  • Promptly identify and recommend solutions to technical issues 
  • Monitor progress against work plan, promptly identifying any current or potential delays distribution 
  • Fully comply with QANDIL safety and security procedures and provide input to security monitoring and assessments to enable and promote a safe and secure environment for program implementation 
  • Collect and compile key distribution data including registration lists, distribution lists and distribution reports 
  • Participate in monitoring and evolution activities directly or by providing feedback to the monitoring and evolution team 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or related to Qandil Organization when needed.

 


Required Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, and Skills):
  • University Degree in Accountancy or Finance; 
  • Minimum one year or two years’ experience in the same position or field. 
  • Fluency in Kurdish & Arabic, English is an asset.
